And, with the approaching dusk & dark, you will witness from your patio / balcony & room, a brightly lit garland – a semi circle of neon formed across the lake from the city & traffic lights on the busy VIP road. The house is centrally located at Shamla Hills - a stone's throw away from the majestic sprawling Upper Lake. Parked smug like a lion’s den by the lake, the bungalow offers the most awe-inspiring & refreshing views of the Upper Lake, the flourishing verdant hills across and the minarets crowning the largest mosque of Asia. And, almost every room has a balcony and lake view. The bungalow is near most tourist attractions of the city.
In the spirit of it's vicinity to lakeside nature, we have chosen the name Lago Villa for our home stay. Lago means "lake" in Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.

The villa offers only home stay facilities. You can stay with the family as a part of it in a separate bedroom provided to you with independent access and facilities such as telephone intercom and wireless internet connectivity. All rooms are air-conditioned, well ventilated and have access to unobstructed breeze across from the lake and beyond.
During your stay, the villa is your very own home. You are free lounge at any of the common areas of the house as and when you please. The villa is fully equipped to provide you with all nature's bounties – two lush green lawns, a diverse selection of local trees & plants and direct access to the lake view promenade.
If you expect the plastic smiles, a salute from the extravagantly dressed door man, a butler with a tall cotton cap etc., you will certainly be disappointed. We serve nature's bounties cooked with the same warmth and care with which a family guest is treated.
We are a joint family of five adults and two small kids living in the house. And, yes we have a friendly dog - Jinny, a black haired golden retriever. Guests may smoke in the balcony / patio attached to the room, the lawns, open areas.

Lago Villa is situated at approximately 400 meters or 2 minutes drive from Bharat Bhavan and MP Chief Ministers Bungalow. Drive down the slope from CM house towards Bharat Bhavan. About 150 meters further down the sloping road is Hotel Shimla Palace. Turn left on the road adjoining this hotel. And, take a right after this road comes to an end branching towards left and right. Once you do this, locating us is a breeze. Come to the last of the three houses on this road and you are home – at Lago Villa.
