Chris Ubah

Chris Ubah is the founder and innovator of the RoomFT concept, which he developed with his wife, when he could only find expensive accommodation whilst on a short trip together.

Chris is our Operations Director, responsible for the day to day running of the business and customer care.

He has driven the project forward and been a constant source of inspiration, drive and new ideas, to make the site work better and smoother.

He loves the manner in which the internet has given everyone, in all corners of the globe, access to information that was not previously available.

An accountant by profession, he would like to be known as the person who changed the travel industry and gave home owners the opportunity to earn extra income from their property and travellers the chance enjoy cheap, homely accommodation.

He would like to thank his wife for her support and patience when he spent countless weekends documenting the RoomFT concept.

Outside work Chris enjoys listening to all types of music, travelling, collecting handmade Rogue South African hats and swimming. He is not quite ready to swim the English Channel to France.

Daniel Baum

Daniel is a partner in Cameron Baum, Chartered Accountants, but despite the title of boring accountant his real passion is marketing and graphic design.  Daniel, who has led Cameron Baum to several awards through his vision and marketing, has taken a lead role in the design of the RoomFT site, from the initial traveller logo and title down to the colour of the screen.

Daniel’s role in RoomFT is Marketing Director responsible for branding and business growth.

Daniel is excited at being involved in this market changing website and the accountant in him hopes it will enable homeowners to bring in much needed income and travellers to stay in pleasant, homely surroundings at a sensible price.

He is a devoted family man, who enjoys listening to jazz and painting in oils (although his children have told him to stick with his day job).

Geoffrey Hollander

Geoffrey Hollander’s role in the initial phase of RoomFT was to ensure accuracy and simplicity of use throughout the site.

He is the company’s Finance Director with responsibility for financial, legal and technical issues.

Geoffrey is a partner in Cameron Baum Chartered Accountants, where he has a wealth of experiencing in nurturing small businesses.  He is also an expert in tax investigations, helping people who are in serious trouble with their tax affairs to bring their lives back in order.

Married with young children, he enjoys listening to a wide genre of music and is a multi-talented musician, playing the piano, keyboard and guitar. We are waiting for the release of his first single.
